Embossing is a print finish created by pressing a metal block (like a stamp without ink) into the paper.
How To Create - Embossing Layer
*Create Embossing data
- Embossing area has to be in K100 in the correct layer.
❶ Separate layers for each finishing. Save as PDF with layers saved.
❷ Finishing area has to be K100 data.
❸ Make sure layer names are accurate. E.g “Embossing” as layer name.
Design
*Caution on Design
- Thin or small fonts will be difficult to be embossed as this process requires pressing on paper which will give a concave appearance.
- Design created in Photoshop, which is not a vector file, may not be as neatly pressed as it is in AI or InDesign.
(Please make sure to prepare file in vector format before saving as PDF in AI and InDesign)
*Emboss Data - Example
